Set on a historic royal estate in the Scottish Highlands, Allie & Franz’ destination wedding seamlessly blended heritage with bespoke event design. Functioning as both a historic landmark and an exclusive castle wedding venue, the estate provided a majestic backdrop for a weekend of curated celebrations.
The festivities opened with an intimate welcome dinner in the estate’s historic Queen’s Garden, serenaded by a traditional Scottish bagpiper. When unpredictable Highland weather shifted the ceremony inside the castle’s grand halls, the historic architecture created an unforgettable, atmospheric setting. As the skies cleared, guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour around the garden mazes before transitioning into a custom-draped luxury marquee for the evening reception.
Design & Editorial Highlights:
English Garden Floral Curation: Lush garden blooms and hydrangeas were thoughtfully layered with native Scottish thistles to honor the historic setting.
Bespoke Tablescape Styling: Designed for 130 guests, a central statement long table featuring patterned linens and tapered candles was flanked by color-blocked blue and green round tables.
Personalized Stationery: Custom floral-patterned menus, designed by the bride, were color-coordinated to complement each guest’s individual place setting.
Highland Night Atmosphere: A live band kept the energy alive while guests took in sweeping, panoramic views of the Scottish Highlands under the starry night sky.
